Enter the Base (base 1)

Enter the Base (base 2)

Enter the height

Area of a Trapezoid 4 centimeters,5 and 7 is 31.5 centimeters2

Area of a Trapezoid is equal to 1/2 times the height times the sum of the bases(b1 + b2). If a Trapezoid has a base1 4 centimeters,base2 5 and 7 is 31.5 centimeters2

    Area of Trapezoid 4 cm by 5 cm by 7 cm in other units

Value unit
0.000315 km2
0.0001957 mi2
0.315 m2
1.0334646 ft2
12.4015748 in2
0.3444882 yd2
31.5 cm2
315.0 mm2

Steps:

Given that base1 = 4 cm and base2 = 5 cm and height =7 cm

Substitute the values of the bases(b1 = 4 cm and b2 = 5 cm) and height h = 7 7 into the formula for the area of a trapezoid.

Area = $1\above 1pt2$ * height * (base1 +base2)

Put the value of base and height value in Area Formula.

Area = $1\above 1pt2$ * (7 cm) * (4 + 5) cm

Add the bases value b1 = 4 cm and b2 = 5 cm

Area = $1\above 1pt2$ * 7 cm * (9.0 cm)

Multiply 7 cm and 9.0 cm

Area = $1\above 1pt2$ * 63.0 cm2

Divide 63.0 cm by 2

Area = 31.5 cm2

∴ Area of a Trapezoid 4 cm by 5 cm by 7 cm is 31.5 cm2
